A dense pool of very high-quality pure CSS design. The CSS Zen Garden's goal was to dispel the notion that pure CSS design is dry and unexciting. The site's concept is simple: Many designs, one HTML file.
Author of the web standards bible, "Designing with Web Standards" and cofounder of the "The Web Standards Project." Zeldman switching his web design magazine "A List Apart" to a pure CSS design in 2001 is a landmark event in the history of web design.
Merlin Mann's 43 Folders gives an adrenalin shot to time management theory with a tech-savvy but not necessarily high-tech approach. Also interesting is his use of social software like Del.icio.us and Flickr to form a community around his ideas.
